About the role
An exciting opportunity has become available for a passionate Kaiako to teach Te Ara Reo Māori Level 1. This programme is delivered online and is ideal for someone who is creative, exciting, and energetic and, of course, competent in speaking te reo Māori. This position requires a high level of administrative duties, so computer literacy is a requirement.
Key responsibilities of the role:
- Develop lesson plans & learning materials
- Deliver online learning
- Manage tauira attendance registers
- Monitor and assess assignments
- Evaluate tauira progress
- Participate in team hui and interaction
Ideally, you will:
- Hold a Diploma Level 5-7 in Te Reo Māori (or higher)
- Hold a Tertiary Teaching Qualification, Level 5
- Hold an Adult literacy & numeracy qualification, Level 5
- Have experience in a similar role
- Be able to converse confidently in Te Reo Māori
- Hold a Full NZ Driver Licence (Clean - Class 1)
